  • Angelic - The native language of all Angels. Hard to learn and not much good for swearing in. Composed of cryptic symbols.

  • Common - Known well throughout the world, most if not all races have at least some understanding and speak some dialect of Common. A lot like our real-world English (In fact, it is).

  • Low Common - A looser or simpler understanding of Common.

  • Elven - A unique and obscure language that's the native language of Elves. There are two specific dialects: Elvish, the current language; and an older script, a strange dialect.

  • Demonic - The native language of all Demons. Seemingly wants to be understood, while linguists tear their hair out trying to understand the inhumanoid grammar. Extremely hard to learn as a result (either that or not many people want to). Composed of cryptic symbols.

  • Draconic - The language of the dragons. Draconic is an obscure tongue only spoken by a few scholars, for native speakers (dragons) are seldom encountered. (Based on The Elder Scrolls' Dragon Language?)

  • Dwarven - ┬áThe primary language of the Dwarves. Originally did not have a written form and was instead passed down through oral tradition. Nowadays, it's written form looks a lot like our real-world Norse.

  • Orcish - A coarser language than Common and lacks a lot of the subtlety. Relies on context, repetition and volume to add emphasis or meaning.

  • Wolven - A language commonly used by Werewolves. The language is made up of a variety of growls, barks, and howls (sometimes body language and facial expressions). Obviously has no written form.

Common Terminology

-Bitza, Chimera - Someone who's "bits and pieces of" other races; someone with mixed genealogy. ("Bitza" is considered to be a slightly rude term. "Chimera" is somewhat more offensive.)

-Mixling - Someone with parents from two different races.

Exclamations and Phrases

-"Hold your hippogriffs" - Used interchangeably with the phrase, "Hold your horses."

-"To mate gryphons with horses" - A metaphor for an impossible task. Somewhat like the phrase, "When pigs fly!"
